Phoenix has 69 artificial turf companies listed here, about 16% of the 427 landscape businesses in the city, and almost all of them sell turf as one piece of a bigger yard job. 65 of the 69 design and install full landscapes, and 64 also lay pavers or other hardscape, so a Phoenix turf quote often comes packaged with a patio, a paver border or a path around the new lawn.

A smaller group puts synthetic grass at the centre of the business. Dirty Turf works mostly on turf that is already down, listing cleaning, odor and urine extraction, repair, inspection and monthly maintenance plans alongside installation, for homes as well as apartments, HOAs, hotels and restaurants. Upkeep is a bigger theme here than in some cities: 35 of the 69, about half, list ongoing maintenance. 40 install irrigation, 39 build outdoor kitchens and fire pits, 32 add landscape lighting and 38 take commercial or HOA work. Nine also build pools, among them MasterAZscapes, a landscape and pool contractor operating since 1986. At the narrow end, Burke Outdoor Concepts keeps its list to pavers, turf and travertine for driveways, patios and pool decks.
