With 6 of the 11 offering maintenance, it is also worth asking whether the installer will come back to brush the turf, top up infill or check seams.

Common questions about artificial turf in Surprise

Can I keep part of my Surprise yard as real grass and turf the rest?

You can. Citiscapes installs both artificial turf and sod, Haro Landscaping lists artificial grass or sod, and Tony's Lawn Care offers synthetic lawns and winter lawn installation. Of Surprise's 11 turf companies, ask how the border between real and synthetic grass is built and how sprinklers for the real lawn avoid wetting the turf base.

Does a Surprise pool builder also put turf around the pool?

A few can. 3 of Surprise's 11 turf companies build pools, including Arizona Rainfall, and Elite Rock Masters lists pool decking with artificial turf. Ask how the turf edge meets the deck, how splash water drains, and whether one company warranties both.
